Or you could try Termis, Db killers removed.  Draws no battery power at all  ;D.
in fact adds power

did your stebel come with a wiring harness? this is the cheapest i could find it

doesn't appear to have a harness. do i just use the stock wiring?

TIA

EDIT: Also just noticed they have some new horns. The Nautilus comes in all black now too

Nope, no wiring harness.  Its really not that complicated though (I just make it look like it is....  [laugh]).

BTW that funky red Stebel you have there isn't an air horn like the Nautilus, but its probably almost as loud....

ok good call, i checked out the sound clip on their site, i like the tone, just curious how big or small it is.

So, the nautilus uses the stock wiring? good to know.

Here's a size reference on my S4RS:

Not a whole lot larger than the OEM I removed from the same location.

...Um... nope.   You supply your own wiring.

A Stebel Nautilus is "not a whole lot larger than the OEM" ???.  Are you serious?  Thats like saying a Hummer is not a whole lot larger than a Mini.

Wonked

Just did this mod to my 695. Took awhile, but that horn will take your breath away. Great mod. Mounted it according to OP's method (though, the battery access is much easier on the 695).

Recommend installing with supplied relay.

Ungeheuer-

Did you ever find a good spot for a Stebel on your M1100?
Yup.  A Stebel Nautilus lives in the vast space where the airbox now isnt.

question, without spending $20 on a multimeter, how do i know which original horn wire is positive and which is negative? ones purple, ones black. one comes from + battery terminal, one goes to horn button.

if i had to guess, purple is +...

thanks

ok so just checked out the bikes wiring diagram

the two wires from the horn are labeled BK and V

black and violet?

black goes to what seems to be ground, everything else has the same one.

V (violet?) goes up to the button.

i think i got it.

thanks
