The latest rumor from Italy has a merger of Ducati and the Piaggio group in the works.  There has been rumor for weeks that Piaggio group has been looking for a buyer, but Piaggio has publicly denied this assertion.  Keep your eyes open!

For reference, Piaggio group owns the brands Piaggio, Vespa, Scarabeo, Gilera, Derbi, Moto Guzzi, and Aprilia.  If you haven't seen it, you should check out Piaggio's "Hytech" hybrid scooter.  It's a combustion/electric hybrid that is purported to be the world's first hybrid two-wheeler.

Wonder if a little Ducati magic could drag Moto Guzzi into the modern age?  I'm just sayin'...... [bacon] [bacon] [bacon]

Speaking of Guzzi, I saw a Griso up here in Enchanted Hills the other day while fetching car parts on Karls Monster. He later left the area with a 1098 in tow. Anybody know either of these cats?

Anyone seen the movie Surrogates? I had to pause it to get a good enough look to figure out that is was a Guzzi in that show.
