A Goldwing rider friend of mine asked me to relay this mesage. His response was that if Honda can do this it may set a precidence with other manufacturers. My response to this is that any documents that have been available for 20 or 30 years to the public may in fact be considered public domain information by now. ATO is studying law he may know.

i could look up some copyright information, but my focus has been on patents and IP taxation. My initial thought is if they own the copyrights, they've got plenty of time left for enforcement. Whether they've lost some of their rights for failure to police copyrights, that I'm not sure about.

Anything on the internet can never be deleted, so I wouldn't worry about it.
