I tendered my 2 week notice of resignation at 4:58 this afternoon. Then I promptly got in my car and drove home. So far not a single email or call.

This place has gone from my dream job to a shit hole full of shitstorm in a hurry.

When the pain of realizing your efforts were unappreciated subsides...

Another thing no one gives a shit about...I am scared shitless. This is the first time I have walked away from a job without having something else already lined up.
Financially, it is a non-issue. Hell, I could veg for a few months before I began to get paranoid.

I guess it took me realizing that someone I considered my friend really didn't when it wasn't even an issue big enough to warrant batting an eyelash over.
