I like the new Multi.  Wasn't prepared to like it from the pictures on the web - had too much of a beak.  Looks 1000% better in person.

I actually liked the beak's appearance as much as I appreciate its function. Together with the symmetrical headlight lens shapes (thank god they fixed those!), it roughly outlines the profile of a bird of prey. I could see this bike making an ideal canvas for custom paint.

I saw one guy writing a check but don't know him.  I would never buy anything until I ride it. 

i believe two folks put down deposits, and another jumped on the Corse LE. I hope I die hard Hayden fans jumps after the NH848, I'd rather see a different special livery model sitting on the floor than it. I think I've said that a million times though.

I watched this video the other day. I think it explains well the valve timing/overlap change from 41° to 11°, though the speaker at the shop went into more detail a bit. The animation needs a degree wheel at the top, and several more levels of zoom to make the most sense.

This changes the energy from the piston per firing?
Or power between firings?
What about the sound emitted?

Yep, me too.  It's weird, the last several Ducatis have looked so much less than stellar in pictures but once you can walk around one and take it in, 1000% better.  Plus, Ducati build-quality is still top of the line and this time, features (in addition to styling) are what sells the bike; total package IMHO.
