The Mad King Pepe'

Hi all, recently rediscovered this forum and realized I had never introduced myself properly.

I currently ride a Monster 750 and a 748 (both 2001). I got both last year when I traded a Triumph for the Monster and a friend of mine laid down the 748 in a parking lot.

I had always coveted the 748 so I just *had* to make sure it was properly taken care of  ;D She's doing fine now, next step for her is a paint job and then we'll see... either track bike or I might have to put her up for sale, my wrists seem to be unable to manage.

The Monster is now my daily commuter, rain or shine. The previous owner did a tail chop on her, which looked great but caused issues when riding on wet roads. My whole back, up to my helmet, would get sprayed! So I fabricated a little metal bracket and put the license plate from a 748 on.

I'm occasionally active on two local forums: dcsporbikes.net and .com. But I'm glad to see there's a place dedicated to my favorite bikes!
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Welcome to the DMF! :)

Nice bikes both, we'd love to see pictures if you have any. ;D

There's a thread in Accessories & Mods called "Wet Bum Mod", I'm sure you'd appreciate it. [cheeky]

When you get a chance, also stop in and introduce yourself to your local group, CAM.

have fun! [moto]
