I've had to do drag strip launches at least twice to avoid getting ran over.  The one that bothers me though is the one I missed.  I had a driver swerve around me last year and miss by inches, then run through the intersection in the wrong lane into oncoming traffic.   I was at a three way stop light (flashing red).  ALWAYS watch your rear view mirros and leave yourself an out.
