Thanks Big T....although re-reading what I posted - I sound like a 2 am salesperson for an ab machine...

I tried SO MANY diets, none of them worked...then I installed the Philips X-treme light and I lost 4 pounds straight away and another 16 pounds over the next few months....and I never had to exercise!

after I wrote that Ian suggested that my original globe is getting on 5 years old and that is why....that's why I'm interested in hearing others evaluations.

Enjoy the weight loss revolution people!  ;D

Big T

Hey Spider I expect to loose at least 50 pounds in the first week and see the road 5,000 metres in front of me at night....

And if I don't I shall then sue you for $50,000,000 cause you said I would...

And I'll go to Today To Night and see Anna C and expose you.....

And I'll write a book about it all called " Big T Devours The Spider"......

And I'll get my people to see your people....

And..... Dam I just woke up again.... Or is those high altitude drug flash backs again......  :-X  [bang]

You will hear from me on the Philips Extreme H4 globe diet......
.... This is your captain speaking. Please fasten your seat-belts as we prepare for take off.... (I'm the passenger now....)

Spider

ah, a woman by the name of Oprah just left a message on my mobile saying she'd like me on the show...something about helping someone face their personal demons - is she talking about an engine rebuild or emotions - cause I'm there if it's the former!

Super T.I.B

I'd rather Anna C than Oprah. ;)

But then again, Oprah has more money....nearly as much as Dockstrada. [cheeky]

Your $50m is safe
No Anna C
No book launch
And your people won't be hearing from my people...
And best of all I can now see in the dark......  [moto]
The Philips Extreme H4 globe is actually pretty dam good...  [thumbsup]
Just installed it and went for a ride on a back road round the corner from me that doesn't have any street lights and I can see....
Rode it previously with the old halogen and could really notice the difference this time.
OOohh and those 12 virgins were at work on the new seat...... Aaahhhhh very comfy.......  ;D

nice....I'll let my solicitor know that they can focus their attention on the Guy Ritchie / Madonna case instead of my defence.

Bret Morris.....calling Bret....globe report please!

BretMorris

Spider,

Sorry for my tardiness.

The globe upgrade is a significant improvement over the standard globe.  I didnt really notice much when commuting around the city as the street lights are pretty good in the short run that I do. However, I have taken the bike out on the open road and that is when I really noticed the improvement. I had better visability both straight ahead and laterally.  I very cheap upgrade that we should all consider.

Thanks Spider for the tip.

Spider

ah, city night riding!

It's counter-intuitive but you actually need better lights for city riding than country - because in the country your light is obviously the most powerful and your eyes adjust to the vision....whilst in the city your light has to be better than the other lighting otherwise you end up with varying intensities...these are things 10 years of bicycle commuting have taught me...the eyes can't adjust quick enough to the dark patches between the pools of light....and the darkness get's you!

Glad you're happy Bret!

Spider,

I do very little riding at night and the short distance that I do is very well lit.

I have to say that the lateral lighting on the open road was much better than I remembered from the stock lighting. I could see the kangaroos much sooner!!!

Cheers

yeah, I'm a bit worried about roos...I keep thinking "come on fellas, you can hear the bike, you can see the light....please don't bounce into the path!"

I have a mate who was pole-axed by a roo whilst mountain biking, the big bloke shock it's head and bounced off which is more than could be said for Stephen - he radioed for medical assistance!

Does anybody have a spare second globe from this buying frenzy that they may want to part with?

Spider

yeah heather, come over Saturday and I'll give you your book and a globe too....I'll even fit it for you

Spider, it's only been a couple of days for you, and I find you still working your magic on the ladies? tsk tsk...

You just can't help yourself, can you?  :P

Talk about service. Your impressive Mr Spider.

BTW, I installed a HID kit in my standard headlamp. It was a bit of mucking around because I got a Bi-Xenon and had to drill out the back of the housing to make it fit. (I wouldn't bother getting the hi-beam again because you just don't need it!)

The light output is amazing. I got it from www.emsusa.com.au at the Syd Motor Show last year.
