Just got word we got hooked up with backstage and greenroom passes for the Sublime concert in Columbus in a few weeks. A good friend of ours long time boyfriend is a manager (used to manage Kid Rock, Lincoln Park, Uncle Cracker). Anyway, he rounded up the remaining members of Sublime (minus the obvious.......the singer) and put them back together, found a new singer, and now a tour. Never been a huge fan, but who can pass on backstage passes as a guest of the Manager?

I am more looking forward to Carb Day in May when I get to meet ZZ Top through them. That was my first rock concert right before I turned 14. Damn, that kicked ass.

Our team spent all weekend crawling around the bays at the firehall in full gear (turnouts and air supplies) without the benefit of being able to see. Got buckets thrown at us, got tied up, dragging firefighters out, fans were going, crawling under firetrucks while dragging charged hose line, chaos everywhere.

It was fun as hell.

I didn't care for Sublime all that much when they were "original" and probably can't tell the difference now. It's just free tix to a concert and a little perk package that goes along with it.
