How about "Nephew"?

Im about to turn make the beast with two backsin 40........starting to use terms like whippersnapper, buckaroo and the like.  I think thats the stage one goes through before becoming crotchety......you know, like DP!

the DSG is pretty slick.  VW pretty much invented the auto-clutch with the Ghia. I think its only slightly more complicated for service.

I had it before when we had the GTI but for my ridiculous high mileage needs I want to keep it simple for reliability's sake and to keep the cost within a certain range a bit better.

gotcha...  i have an 05 Golf TDI with manual and it started rolling about 50mpg on the highways.  it's the oil, I use the Total Quartz 5w30, and I drive like an asshole.

My commute is 90% highway so I fully expect 50+ which would offset the difference in price from if I got another Mazda 3 by way of fuel cost savings. This way I get to sit my ass in a little bit nicer of a car for 5+ hours a day.
