The other thread is about people not wanting to have dinner with me on a Saturday night at a Thai eatery, out in the ?backblocks of NSW somewhere    (can understand their reluctance given my growing rep as a serial killer!)

So just to make it up to everyone who will miss out on my company  I have organised my schedule so that I can be at one of the regular Sydney social meet ups.

Thought it best to keep Bar Italia on the Bar Italia thread.

No probs.  You can let me in on the arracini secrets.  

just to be clear (and perhaps add to this threads confusion)

- the arancini is acceptable at Bar Italia.
- in fact, Bar Italia is both convenient and acceptable. it's not particularly special, but (for me at least) has some historical undercurrents...
- the ricotta canoli is better than acceptable, but still shy of special.
- the latest fad is to chat at bar italia, then head to gelatomassi in newtown for serious gelato - this is now what I do every time as the bronster now insists that her gelato is sourced from this fine establishment.

than again if your party will be successful  i still might be able to partake in it on friday morning coming back from the airport
