Sorry I was gone so long.

I tried futilely to fix my IE.

I have concluded that Bill Gates has me on his shit-list.

I load Firefox, and everything is better.

It's nice to be back.  It's all warm and IZ_ here . . .

Firefox kicks IEs arse!

I think Opera is the cat's pajamas but haven't tried it on my Mac.  I just run Safari which is pretty snifty.

How you doin Johnny D?

Glad you're back.  [thumbsup]

Using another browser in lieu of IE is like setting a microwave on your counter when the one installed above your oven works perfectly.

I have 27 browsers installed... when I used to deploy code, I have to test it on each and every damn browser to make sure we can certify which ones it works on... and that includes backwards compatibility... hmm... works on IE 7 but not IE 4... time to tweak it again.... pain in the nut sack.... anyhow... I am glad I no longer deploy code or test browsers... I still have all the crap browsers installed.

DL chrome and time how fast it takes to load vs fireflox or ie

Erica uses Chrome almost exclusively... it's fast, but has problems with some sites.

I use FF.  It's okay.  There are still some of the websites I pay bills at where I need to use IE (*shaking fist*... damn yous, Verizon!).  It's reasonably quick as long as you don't junk it up with plugins, clear the history and whatnot on a regular basis.  More reliable than IE.  Fewer security problems.

I haven't downloaded Chrome because the world is becoming too Google-centric for my tastes.  I like to see more vendors in the marketplace... so I have FF for a browser, Google for search, Hotmail for e-mail, etc.  I'll be downloading Open Office for my home desktop sometime soon (because I positively hate MS Office 2007 and refuse to pay a dime for that load of crap).  Vote with your consumer dollar... or in this case, with your choice in software and service providers.

Ive been Mozilla all the way from Day 1 (Starting with Netscape 3) Even used it for Linux. Using Firefox 3.5.30729 Now and Thunderbird handles the email. T-Bird is sort of cool because it has a little G-mail account setup that lets you manage the mail from your email client on the desktop instead of out on the web. Plus every hacker in the world is trying to mess with IE, and I'm not all that huge on Microsoft anyway.

I guess you could do it manually without the custom setup, but it just makes it that much easier.  In case you haven't seen it, just go to Tools-account settings-Add account-Then click Gmail, and fill in a few fields.
