Buying the new Teknic Violator Suit, and i need to spend another $80 bucks to qualify for a free trackday.

On the list of thigns to buy is a chest protector and padded shorts.

Choice between the

Alpinestars Bionic Freeride http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-bionic-freeride-shorts
Dainese Pro Shorts http://www.revzilla.com/product/dainese-pro-shorts
Theres also the Bohn ones which seem better, for the purefact that hard armor would be very very uncomfortable around the hip area. and people seem to rave about them.

and also for chest guard

THres also the knox one from SBTG.

I run the A* Comp Shorts, a tad less $$ and very light weight- cannot speak to the ones you have tagged.

Also re: chest protectors - I use a Knox singe piece - it Velcros to a full back w; harness so stays in place if jacket isn't tight. Of what you tagged I would grab the A* as it is one piece not leaving the sternum exposed.

Too bad Revzilla doesn't stock T-Pro/Forcefield stuff.. I'm a fan

FWIW - the Dainese is showing out of stock, or significant delays in shipping currently on Revzilla.
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=7704 But on Revzilla.

Im going to go for the Knox chest armor. with that, i pretty much have every piece of armor one could own next to a neck protector.

suit is suppose to fit tight to begin with. I wnated to get a 38, but had to go with a 40 because there are no 38s. :(

Privateer

looks like you already ordered.  I was going throw another vote at the Bohn shorts.  Plus, they're made in America if that matters to you.
My fast lap is your sighting lap.

I perfer to buy american when the quality and price is matched.

As for Bohns, i looked for them on revzilla, but they dont sell them. Not a big deal. i still have to see how well the hip armor is on the teknic violator and how much space i have. those Bohn adventure shorts dont look small at all!

Dainesedan

Just a note on the Dainese chest plate.  That is not intended to be worn in anything other than our own double zip race suits that have a pocket for it to rest in and integrate with the suit.  If you are looking for chest protection to be worn with something else, take a look at some of the various products that incorporate a back protector with a chest plate into one unit.

I have both the Knox gilet air vest and the knox multi-sport armored shorts.

Very comfortable, fit well under my textile jacket and pants. On cooler days I just wear jacket, vest, and a long sleeve heavy T-shirt. On warmer days I have a CoolMax type T-shirt under the vest. The shorts go well under baggy fit jeans and/or textile over-pants.

I don't really notice being to warm for the most part; though on a recent (and rare) 70 degree Pacific Northwest day I was getting just a tad warm at stoplights in traffic.

Knox stuff is spendy, but I'm very happy with it. Lots of good reviews , comfy, good protection.

I wear the Dainese Pro shorts and the Hip armor I never even notice when I'm riding.

The Tail Bone armor makes the seat a little less hard as well on my 1098-R and S 1000 RR .
