You said Geckos, DM, let's do Geckos.  That's my two cents.

Stuart says Geckos, too.  He's sitting in my office (under my desk) talking (mumbling) about motorcycles.

...give it time.  I've only been in town two weeks now!

My vote is Gecko's as well.

RatFink: I loves me some vintage iron of the four wheeled variety, but the food at the Owl...uh...well...not my bag man.  I might cruise by later in the evening though to see if there's anything still going on there.

It was great to see all the folks who showed at Geckos on Tuesday night.  Many interesting topics were discussed.   [laugh]

One topic raised a question which some of you will know the how to answer.  It goes like this, while riding in California, I “unintentionally” blew by one of those signs that shows your speed as an LED display.  In this case the sign was flashing my speed of 81 mph.  The speed zone was posted at 25 mph.  Not a nice thing to be doing on my part, but that’s what happened.  As I told of this experience someone else, in the group also said that he had blasted a similar sign for 95 mph (I believe his name has the letters UTS in it).   [leo]

This response quickly lead to the question.  If one of us had been going 125 past one of these two digit signs, what speed would the sign display?  Would it read 25 mph and therefore make the rider legal or would it read 12 mph making the rider slow or would the sign simply burst into flame trying to figure out how to show a three digit speed on a two digit display?   [coffee]

Some one in the group has surely “tested” one of these signs with a three digit speed.  What did the sign read?  The answer and even better, the reason why, will earn you a refreshing brew at a future gathering of the Tuesday night group.  So what speed would the sign display?    [moto]

Of course this is all just a theoretical discussion, so don't try this stupid stuff at home!!
