You may also consider a sheepskin for the seat.  It'll help with the heat and improve comfort.

Why not just sheepskin everything?

know the uv protectant on some camping and hiking (fishing too) clothing make by exoficio and other companies use a tighter weave in the fabric, creating enough UV resistance to = spf 50 in some cases.

I too am looking for a cover, to protect my exhaust more specifically, and I do like the idea of a half cover, might fit into a backpack better.

anyone know of some type of UV protective half cover?

On a side note, I did see something on TV that made me think about the possabilities of reconditioning ruined CF - it was a commercial for a special polish for fogged up headlight covers that polishes a foggy finish back to a clear polished one. Might be worth keeping in mind for anyone who's got ruined CF parts. Anyone else see that? It's a product made by Maguire.

i just bought the one made by 3M. i did Nina's headlights and they turned out ok. if you want to try it i've still got some of the stuff left  [thumbsup]

Really? It worked?

I may have to check that out when the time comes - for now, I'm just keeping my baby under covers and out of the sun!

I just bought the Nelson Rigg UV-2000.  It may be what you are looking for.  I have only used it once, but it seems to keep the bike cool and protected.

Then we'd look like we a bunch of sheep humpers. Someone would think I was Australian.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I always thought that was the Kiwis.
