Just got pulled over--FW's Finest not impressed with my Inspection Sticker location... :P

No ticket--I think he wanted a closer view of fine Italian machinery.  ;)

Exactly where is your sticker ???

I flipped the sticker plate and put it facing the wheel on the backside of the license plate. He began to tell me about all of the "wrong" places to put the sticker--front forks, chain guard, etc....

Jim--didn't you get hassled on your sticker in the HC?

He said that it has to be visible from the rear. Here is the citation from the Texas Transportation Code:

§ 548.255.  ATTACHMENT OR PRODUCTION OF INSPECTION
CERTIFICATE.  (a)  An inspection certificate shall be attached to
or produced for a vehicle in the manner required by department rule.
   (b)  The department shall:
      (1)  require that a certificate for a motorcycle be
attached to the rear of the motorcycle near the license plate;  and
      (2)  adopt rules with respect to display of an
inspection certificate for a moped.

Cory put his sticker in the same spot.

I had mine flipped around like yours until I got hassled twice about it from Coppell LEO's. It's now visible albeit ugly as hell.

I thinks that's the only reason I haven't done a tail tidy kit yet on the 848.  I love the way the plate looks tucked under & relocated sticker, but I don't want the hassle from the LEO.
