We could probably come to an "arrangement", HP.  Do you have an electrical schematic to work from?

I'm going for a little ride late this morning but should be home sometime late in the afternoon.  If you wanna swing by the house we'll give it a look!  Look for a PM with my phone number if you wanna holler at me.....though I think you already have my cell.

Some of you have already seen/heard the all-powerful GP-style exhaust I threw together with some duct tape and zip ties.. but for those that havent.. here are some "fully assembled" pictures.  I'm going to put an aluminum shield around the underside of the rear pipe (over the lights, under the pipe)  and an aluminum "ring" (I guess you'd call it) around the lower pipe, riveted onto the fairing.
Again, Crap Celphone pics   ;D

This here was my inspiration.  you can see the "Ring" around the lower pipe I want to try and create.  The lovely Carbon Fiber around the upper pipe would be nice, but thats not a medium I am proficient in manipulating, So Alumimum sheet will have to do for now.

I have finally perfected a replacement shifter nub for those of you that go down on the left side...

I was using a 1/4-20 bolt as a replacement.  Worked fine, except bolts are not made to have bending applied to them... they are tension devices.  Consequently, it would always snap off at the most in-oppertune times.  Riding along I-70 to denver for example.

To fix this problem, I rounded up some 3/8 steel round bar, lopped off about an inch and a half, and drilled and tapped one side to fit the very same 1/4-20 bolts.  Now no bending is applied to the bolt, only tension, and the shifter is far more comfortable.

Good news is, if anyone goes down in Ouray this year and needs a shifter, a quick ride down to Aztec, and we can fix it right up!

For anyone who's interested, I found this on another forum I was browsing.  Ducati special tools for rent.  For when your bike is having that special moment in its life when it needs a little more TLC than just an oil change!  Pricing doesn't seem too bad either!
