This is probably the worst pain ive ever felt. it was when i burned my leg on the header of my exahust a week later i caught an infection. I couldnt walk right for almost 3 months.  So its probably because i dont get that seriously injured much....also becasue i dont have health insurance so i cant afford to go doing things without thinking a few times over if i can get hurt.  :-X ive had a lot of other pains from doing contact sports. but it doenst sound that bad compared to the shit you guys have been through!

That's a very nasty burn. 15 years ago I had a second degree chemical burn and the Doc gave me Vicodin for the pain. That burn you have looks like it was REALLY painful.

I was 3 years old and went to the grocery store with my Mom. A guy pulled up on a H-D , it was Summer and I had on a pair of shorts and climbed on before Mom could stop me.

I don't remember the rest but I spent a week in the Hospital from my leg coming in contact w, the exhaust.

broken clavicle and rib.

i had a plate put in on mon to repair the clavicle
Broken Collar Bones are the pits.

I broke my right one in HS in Gym Class Wrestling and then the left one in a Motocross accident.

I didn't get a plate but the one I broke from wrestling I was home that night after having it set and in the figure 8 brace and I was in a Recliner and went to get up and unset it and had to go back to the ER and go through getting the knee in the back while the Doc spread my Shoulders as far as he could while a nurse tied the brace down as tight as possible.

Makes me cringe now some 45 years later.

There's no comfortable position w, a broken Collar Bone especially when in bed trying to sleep.

I feel your pain 2 times......plus I have had now in 3 years 14 broken Ribs and several will never knit since they are not in alignment.

damn man!

thats some shit right there. Ive never broken a bone. aside from fractured skull from getting a baseball bat to my forehead. got 12 stitches and a concussion and called it a day.

The burn hurt like a son of a pregnant dog. And pain killers would of been nice. im not sure waht degree you would call it since i never went to the hospital for it. Over the course of several months, i was using this Powder my mom makes for treating open wounds.

It didnt hurt that much really. But i was using a powder ointment to treat burns.... When I applied it. I dont know how to say it, but i much rather get all my teeth drilled out at the same time. It was an hour of the most intense pain in the world. Sweating, screaming and vomitting from the pain the pwoder caused. It was like acid etching your raw skin.

The worst part about it, is the fact hat its on my ankle. which needs to bend for me to walk. So i was pretty much on crutches for 2 months and whenever i laid my foot down the new skin would break and id bleed. The only other serious injury i had was a baseblla bat across my skull, 12 stiches. and i had my finger cut to the skin on the backside, that was like 12 stiches too. They werent so bad. I didnt get licodine or whatever for the stiches on my skull, that one really hurt, but the doc was really good, so it wasnt that bad. And i was too young to remember my finger.

I sort of know what you mean about the Ankle thing.

I went to Jamaica one Summer on Vacation and laid on the beach the 1st day there and burnt the tops of my Ankles so bad that I couldn't walk because of every step my Ankles had to bend.

The Native people said to put Coconut oil on them and it would take the sting out of the burn.

It sort of did but not enough.

In June the Sun there is like a Blow Torch.

I'm not injured, but can't sleep tonight.

Can I hang out in here or is there a 'regular' I can't sleep thread someplace?!?

I was doing something like this... (not me in pic)

When my left shoulder decided to give up on me and dislocate.  I pitched forward and fell about 12 feet onto it and broke my clavicle.  That sucked.

My Coach said not to do it, as I wasn't strong enough yet (I was 17) but I did it anyway. My Coach sadi "See... told ya."
