Nice to meet you. I owned a '76 860 GTS once, had some notsogood experiences with it in '79 (big end gone), and took up riding German bikes.

But... adventure calls. As if drawn by a magnet(i Marelli) I had to go to the Duc shop, for some test rides on a 620 and a 900 Monster.

I liked a 620 i.e.S best (nice, clean and low, almost new (2003, immaculate, with just over 4000 miles!), and power enough for me), but I had some doubt about the engine oil temp. It IS running rather hot under pressure: easy 120-130°Celsius!

The 900 i.e. Dark 2002 (with oil cooler) ran a lot cooler, but I found it to be higher (seat height) and less agile. (And more powerful, of course, but that's less of a problem;-)

My ideal Duc would be the light and low 620 i.e.S with an oil cooler (and, preferably, a 2nd front disk). And that's how I stumbled upon this forum.

I hope to learn from the experiences of others with added oil coolers and front brakes on smaller Ducs (620 i.e.'s etc).
