Relaxing after a longish day with a stogie of some manufacture and rum and coke.

And after perusing a few of my previous posts I realize my iPhone grammer sucks [laugh]

I thought Beemers came with a complimentary "get away weekend" care kit so you wouldn't have to pack.

ya know... the k1200s folks got screwed on the toolkit deal. historically, beemers have come with a pretty comprehensive tool roll. not us.

we get:
2 screwdrivers
1 TX25 wrench

yay.  >:(

Thanks Rich. I'd take you up on your offer but I don't think I'll have time to swing by your place.

I don't have a kit per se, but I think I'm covered with a basic auger, plugs and glue. Never had to do a road-side plug so please tell me if I'm missing somethin'.

yeah that should do it... are the plugs coated with some type of rubber-safe lube?  that helps immensely getting it in there... (har har)  and do they have a flange on the end, aka mushroom-tipped?  sounds like you should be good-to-go, just make sure you cut off the excess when you're finished.

How do you plan to air it back up after you plug it? Everone should really check out the Cycle Pump website. Yeah, it's a $100 but it will save your ass in the middle of no-where! [thumbsup] It paid for itself ten times over on the Spring 2008 AR trip. Scott would still be stuck up there without it!! [laugh] When you use your last CO2 cartridge and it still isn't full you'll wish you had a Cycle Pump. Wish I'd invented them!! [bang]

Little tube of rubber cement is a nice addition to the tire kit.

They are coated for protection and maximum insertion pleasure.  8)  Not sure on the flange, don't remember one.

Good eye my caffeinated freind. I've got a Slime Powersport Tire Compressor that I picked up from MotoLiberty last year. Haven't had to use it yet so I'll probably plug it in and test it tonight just in case.

Oh and that black thing at the right is a bag of "rain-B-gone", aka rain gear.

Sweet! [thumbsup] I'm a firm believer in the "take it and you won't need it" philosophy. Be curious to see what you think of the Slime brand compressor. Haven't ever used one. Again, hope you don't ever have to take it out of it's package... other than testing it at home. ;D

I never would have thought there would be a
compressor that was bike friendly. Now I have
room for one. Hmmm

Today's my lucky day! This was delivered today a day earlier than expected. Ordered this last week before I even planned on going out of town.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
