For those wondering bacon junkie is resting peacefully right now. He is being pumped full of pain killers and antibiotics. I am staying at the hospital with him tonight. He should be discharged tomorrow.

that "hangover" bj spoke of turned out to be a rather serious throat infection 

We made it to Carmel before his immune system decided to kick into high gear and make the beast with two backs him  up. At least he had the good sense to stop riding.

Ryan slept pretty well and his pain is reduced. He's still sick as hell but headed in the right direction. He will see a specialist soon and then likely be discharged. Dave is on his down now. He will ride ryan's bike up to loma mar. Someone else will drive Ryan up.  Paula and Dave said he could stay as long as it takes for him to get better. They are good people.
