(although I have to say I find the boxes easier to distinguish than the mini-icons right now, I think Mother's idea will help)

I like the old one better too. I think the new icon clutters the page up too much...

I agree but I like the idea of using the logo the way they are

I think getting rid of white box will greatly reduce the clutter

this was more or less what i posted up in another thread on the subject of the new logo

Well what do you know, it works on my Mac now.   

However, it's a bit hard to differentiate what has been read, and what hasn't.  Mac & PC.

I guess the colors just don't stand out enough.   

Maybe changing the color of the black dot in the middle of the unread will help.
