The wiff is flying out for an unknown amount of time tomorrow, so this weekend has been pretty concentrated around getting ready to go.  Fun times indeed.

Any chance she would be making a stop in my neck of the woods?

That's cool.  One thing that I am starting to realize about living/riding here; I got used to riding with a bunch of SBK owners down on Oahu, and most everyone here are riding monsters.  Feels like I am stuck in 3rd gear.  lol

Give it time. That'll change.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

You sure?  Each time I've gone out up here it's been on roads that the local guys know really really well.  I always start off in the back (as the new guy) but I end up as the second rider almost as soon as we hit the twisties, and am always yelling "come on, GO!" inside my helmet to the guy in front.  lol

Tomorrow's ride is supposed to be a "faster pace", so we shall see...

I'm willing to bet that there are SBK riders there or others of a similar ilk to our JJ ride and you just haven't hooked up with them yet.

probably be able to find more on ducati spot. there seems to be some east cost ppl there. they might know other forums to check out too. i know there's area club forums as well.

today we did a 6.5 mile hike. not feeling too bad at all, hopefully i'm in the same condition in the morning. too bad all the hikes are scheduled on sunday. next week is 9 miles  :o so maybe i'll opt to go riding.

I've talked to a few folks on DucatiSpot, but they're a funny lot.  Quite a few of them complain that no one is riding or doing anything, but then make no effort to show up when you mention a ride or meet up spot.  Granted, it's only been two weeks or so, so I'll have to give it some time.

Then there's DCSportbikes.net.  What to say about this...  A lot like forums Hawaii; there are a few good people on there, but very much overwhelmed by tools.

I taking the Pegoretti out for a bit this morning. I'll check back in a couple hours to see if anyone is going out. Looks like a nice day again. South Seas was closed yesterday but I might have to stop by there again today to sort out the rear stand debacle.

Kind of a slow day around here, huh?

Hey, I'm merely a product of my environment...

Hmmm... seems I can't manage to operate this board properlike.  I'd fix it, but then where would the evidence be?

So, how did yesterday's ride go?

We've got our monthly Ducati South Seas ride coming up this Sunday. Oh boy!

It was a little bit better, but good F'ng god it was hot!!!  Even in the hills of WV!  I was done and ready to head home by around the forth hour, but the guy who was leading (subsequently the only person who knew where we were) wanted to go and hit every flipping pseudo straight country road out there.  All in all we did about 300 miles and lost about 15 pounds in sweat.
