Alright the World Cup is over, NBA is over (finally), and baseball just hit halfway.

The college football season starts in 7 weeks on a Thursday night game in you guessed it Columbus OH.

Who else can't wait for College Football.

Oh yeah, here is what got me thinking about this thread.  They just finished the renovations on the Big House.

It is once again the biggest stadium in the country.  Are you Michigan fans happy that now even more people can watch your team suck it up and lose!  I know I am!

Prediction:

Ohio State will not win the BCS and Troy Prior will once again be overrated.

or

Ohio State makes the BCS and tressel in his little gay sweater vest gets his ass handled yet again because he is a shitty coach.

Notre Dame will also suck it up again.

Indiana University will have a banner year and possibly make a bowl game and NOT get killed.

Keep trying Jud.

Its Terrelle Pryor

Once again Tressell is 4-3 in BCS games.  That's hardly getting his ass handed to him.

Eh, whatever his name is. He isn't very good.

I wouldn't call 4-3 that good..................or maybe it is.

I really don't know. I just watch whatever game is on and if it is entertaining to keep my interest.

There really are some ridculous non-conference games this year.

Buckeyes/Hurricanes, Tide/Lions- I would absolutely love to see Joe Pa's team beat the shit out of a Alabama team that is going to have to replace A LOT on defense, Boise/VT. So many others.

I'll be routing for VT because Boise won't have to try to win any of their other games.  That way when my Buckeyes finish undefeated no one will be able to cry about getting left out.

Co Cal!!  [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [though they'll probably choke as usual]  :'(

The Boise/VT game should be interesting.  [thumbsup] I think Boise is past having good teams overlook them.

^^^ I certainly agree.  They sure showed Oregon last year.  Ask Blunt, he knows all about it. I just wish they could schedule more teams. However, the risk/reward is bad with them right now.  If you win, you just beat a really good team, if you lose you just lost to a MWC team.  I think the Pac 10 did itself a disservice by not adding Boise. They need a bigger stadium and better facilities and they could be a top program.

That being said, I would play them every weekend.

I agree. Their stadium is tiny by large conference standards, and the blue turf is a goofy gimmick. Pac-10 should have added them though. They're moving to the Mountain West, which is much better than the WAC though...especially if the MW gets an automatic BCS bid like is being discussed (I think it still is).

It'll be interesting to see if they can dominate the MW like they did the WAC. It's a much better conference, and I doubt they can, although I expect them to always be in the hunt.

It's gonna be a damned good game, no doubt. We've got Dont'a Hightower back, and the defense is apparently in much better shape than the 2008 12-2 team... maybe not as good as last years, but still solid.

Ohhhh, I see we have some 'bama fans...

My gator boys will be seein' y'all in Tuscaloosa this year... with a chip on their shoulders!

Florida/Bama has been shaping up into a nice little rivalry lately :)

Florida should be an interesting team to watch this year. The O-line is probably our best unit, protecting our [unproven] gunslinger John Brantley. If the receivers and backfield can get rolling, the offense might be something special. The defense will be rebuilding a bit, so the games should be an exciting watch!

I like Brantley, man. From what I've seen he's talented, and smart. I'm really gonna enjoy watching him play this year. I imagine I'll be seeing him twice. Here's to hoping.  ;)

Well I for one, cannot wait!  I watch every game I can.  I wish Colorado was better  [bang]

I went to Ohio State (have a OSU hat on right now, coincidentally) and University of Cincinnati (got my degree from UC) so the Ohio football thing is in my blood.  I'm in Denver now and can't see the games in person, but I watch all I can.

I agree Sweater Vest could take more risks and I think he will this year seeing how the young QB did in the bowl game last year.

I just want good competition for all of college football and I think we will get it.

Well, here's rooting for the Huskers to take the Big 12 title with them to the Big 10!  If we can only find a decent offense, i'd say we have a decent chance. That would be perfection!!!
