Colin Edwards has been particularly vocal about the consequences the engine rule is having for the satellite Yamaha, and the knowledge that Bautista and Capirossi are getting extra engines is unlikely to improve his mood.

and then a statement from the Texan is likely to be filled with emotional expletives in the colorful way that you'de expect only Colin to do...

I agree that the "Zuke" is a dog in comparo...but maybe with the extra 3 motors being assembled at this point, some development upgrade parts may "accidentally" find their way into these extra motors...and THAT is where I'd get pist...if those end up to the bike actually making a result of some signifigance....

there is nothing in the rules that says the subsequent motors have to be the same as motor #1.

that's the reason many of the teams haven't submitted all of their engine allocation to be sealed. i think yamaha has only submitted their first 3.

I thought they had to surrender the 6 motors to be sealed on the Thursday before FP1 at the 1st round....

I all fairness, it's the rules that backed them into a corner. I say screw 'em, let's see what the the rules think of on 14 bikes on the grid....

MotoGP, "Hey Suzuki, you're contactually obligated to field 2 riders."
Suzuki, "Yeah sure, would you like them to push their bikes or just jog around the track in their leathers?"
MotoGP, "But, but..."

We all knew it would end in tears. Artificially messing with the free market NEVER works out.
