That.  Is bad as hell.

I love how you can't delineate where the negative space ends and the ink begins.

Looks awesome.   [thumbsup]

Love the sleeves, guys.

I am working on getting my artwork together and then will submit to my artist so he can draw it up the way he wants to.

That is how this guy works and I love it. You give him a concept and several photos of what you want and then he draws it up.

I am going to start working on a sleeve on my right arm. Already with the "strength and honor" in latin, I am going to stick with a Roman theme. I've always been a big fan of Roman history, therefore, that is what the focal point of my sleeve is going to be.

We are going this weekend to get our Taggart's paw print inked on our arms (like the rest of our dogs) and then a little memorial tattoo next to our fallen buddy Alex. We are going to have Billy draw up a replica of Alex's red fire hydrant he had on his collar. Little buddy had that his entire life, so it is very fitting to get that next to his little paw print.

Got this today.  Tribute to my father.  I love it!  Nikki Balls from Tattoo Paradise in DC did the work.  3 hours and my back is sore!

I am not much of a peddler on this forum for people, businesses, etc.

However, Envy Skin Gallery in Columbus Ohio owned by the world renowned artist Billy Hill kicks ass.

We just got home (an hour ago) from his fourth anniversary party.

You could buy raffle tickets for 5$ a piece and all proceeds go to a local charity hit works with.

We bought 60$ worth and ended up getting drawn 3 times.........so we got 300$ in tattoo coupons with him  [thumbsup]

Billy has inked with the guys of Miami Ink, whatever the shop is in the Palms in Vegas, offered a job to have his own reality tattoo show, and the craziest............a former national player for Australia's Futbol (soccer for americans) flies here two times a year just to get his ink down by Billy.

Billy is a cool guy. Most people think (from my wife's and I personal experience.....so a stereotype) tattoo artists are uneducated crazy people and the customers are the same (Based on the attendees......no stereotype needed). My wife and I are both educated and intelligent and Billy has taking a huge liking to us, which is sweet. Of course we don't get any deals, but he treats us well.

He is about to start designing my sleeve to fit what I have on my inner-biceps (Strength and Honor in Latin). He has never done a complete Roman military and political theme before, so he is so excited to take my concept, photos, ideas, etc and sketch it into a reality. We are taking him out for Sushi on Thursday to discuss.

Anyway, Billy just released a fantastic hard bound book of all the sketches he has done and of course inked it.

We bought the bought the book because my wife's latest ink is included in the book.

The coolest thing is Billy actually applied, registered, and was accepted to have his sketch book stocked in the Library of Congress (I included a photo below so if anyone visits DC and goes to this amazing library, you can look up his book and see his work. All drawn by him).

His book will be available on Amazon.com in a few weeks.

I am posting the pictures of my wifes ink on her lower back.

Based on board rules...........I will not get into the meaning of it because it is against policy. It is hard to understand if you are not a history buff on our countries founding, so PM me if you want to know what it means.

Enjoy.

original drawing based off my wife's concept of what she wanted. Billy has told us several times this was the best idea and his favorite tattooing ever. Who knows if it is true, but he has told us this many times. I email with him daily and he always talks about it.

I had him autograph the drawing as he loves the concept (we share the same "xxxxxx views) and never been approached with an idea like this

Here is the inking on her back (she is getting the above tattoos touched up by Billy free of charge next time we come in as he wants to submit his work to a magazine. His work has already been on covers of several tattoo magazines).

The next piece of the puzzle on this tattoo is using the lettering off a one dollar USD bill saying "Sic semper tyrannis"

Again, I won't get into that, so PM me if you need clarification as IT IS NOT RELATED TO THE ASSASSINATION of LINCOLN or THE CIVIL WAR.

Got new ink tonight.

On our left arms, we decided to get our dogs paw prints walking up them.

First print is Alex (Rest in Piece little guy), next is our nearly 3yr old Doberman Greta, and the new one is our 7mon old Doberman Taggart.

Alex's print is life size and the following two are shrunk to follow the lines straight up.

Tag's print (the newest) is huge!!! We had our first two done at the shop, but Billy Hill (www.iambillyhill.com) did the current one and we weren't happy with his fired previous artist, so he touched them up for us free of charge.

Enjoy.

All these prints are taken straight off an ink pad print of each dogs print and then traced by the artist, so they are authentic real prints. You can tell by Tag's how big his is at 7mons and it had to be shrunk down to fit the appropriate line.

Ink is done in according to age. Therefore, smallest is our little buddy Alex, then Greta, then Tag
