You gotta like this guy. Always willing to lend a helping hand.   [roll]   ;D
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

and here i was thinking to just take off the tank and mail it to Nick and have him resign it, maybe add in "to my dearest friend, one of these days i will beat you" you know some thing along those lines
it is so much easier to get forgiveness then it will ever be to get permission.

Will --  the 848 is in your hands now. I changed the oil & filter but forgot to bring my safety wire pliers down. I'll get that after I pick it up. I used Mobil 1 Race 4T 10-40 with a little less than a quart of Race 4T 10-50 that Ben gave me (formulated for a 675 Daytona) --- doesn't make the bike sound like a triple as Gene was kidding but the shift seemed instantly stiffer and clunked more. Like I said I reckon there's only about a half to 3/4 quart of the 10-50 in there and it seemed to be smoothing out a bit by the time I got to South Seas with it. If you think it's overly harsh then I'll change it again after you're done.

ok, i'm about half way done, i will try to see how it feels.
btw- just so ya know, i seen more than a few k+n oil filters fail on ducs.  but i guess it could just be a fluke.

Wow! Really?  I only used the K&N because you had to use one at it's first service. Then I liked them because I could safety wire it, not that I've ever had a problem with the Ducati filter coming loose. I'd actually prefer the stock factory filter so if you've seen problems with K&N then maybe I'll head back to Ducati.  Could be real soon too.  Thanks.
