Hey guys... I have right now alpinestars boots that are more like a touring boot... I am in the market for a new pair as the last pair relies on velcro that has no hold left... yes I want new boots anyways... I want a more racing styled boot that will give me the protection I need and does not rely on velcro.  Dainese torque?  Some velcro there... Alpinestars again?  Ducati Puma??
What do you guys ride with?
I would be using these with jeans mostly.... so i want them to fit under at the bottom...

Thanks!

When there's a new thread asking about boots, usually people debate which model of Sidi boot a person should get. It's kind of the consensus. I like the B-2 a lot.

I forgot about Sidi... and I even have their mountain bike shoes....

how much do the B2 and the other lowerend SIDI cost? the Vertigos are too high for me

The Bearded Duc

I wear A* SMX-5 and love 'em. Toe, heel, ankle, and shin protection. They rely on velcro and a zipper. And if you live in an area where it gets somewhat hot they are available in a vented version.

i know stopintime has these and I do as well. not sure what his opinon is on them...

ive  worn them for everything. I really cant justify throwing money at a pair of touring boots, a trackday boot, and an everyday boot because how often do i go touring, tracking and weekend riding? so i just use this one for everything.

it is SO damn comfortable. its not even funny. the BOA dial a click fit is a dream and theres no stupid velcro to deal with. I really like these boots. I wear a white size 40 and they are sold out, but i would defintely buy the black size 40 when i get some spare cash since they no longer have a US distributor.

They are my weekend riding boots and i wear them under jeans, they are my touring boots, i wear them under my Scorpion XDR Awe pants, and they are also my track boots, i wear them over my teknic Violator.

I agree they are comfortable, but their sizing is a tiny bit larger than Sidi (dragging toe sliders at the track) and their soles do not have the inner composite sole of the Sidi - I experience some footpeg pain under my feet during & after really long touring. At the moment they serve lighter duties, which they work and look very well for.

I've been wearing a pair of SIDI Vertebra IIs for ten years.

They're getting a bit worn and I'll probably replace them with the B2

edit...seeing as the B2 is now a gore-tex boot I guess I'll go with the vertigo.

I do notice that about the toe slider, but i have absolutely no footpain even after being on the road for 3+ straight hours. Its probably a fitment thing cause its almost custom made for my feet :D

I just need to figure out where i can get more toe sliders to keep on the shelf.

Maybe the Fusions are similar to the B2s?

If you go with the Vertigo and expect 10 years, I would get some replacement soles (MotorCycleSuperStore have them).
Mine wore out quite fast, at the front edges. The old ones need to come off with use of solvent (no grinding), to protect the composite inner sole.

I'm heavier than you. That might be causing my fot peg isssues. I'll look for a stiffer inner sole.
Actually, I was ready to pick up one Eurosize smaller, in white, but they're sold out.

Artful

I wear my B2s to the office on days I commute and they're as comfortable as dress shoes, plus I know I'll be protected if any office equipment goes after my feet and ankles.
Every time I meet a new group of your friends that understand you and your weird sense of humor I'm a little more amazed that there are other people in the world like you that lived through childhood - My loving girlfriend
