Hi Cakemen, size if 46mm, sprocket side is 41mm... i think i may have a speedymoto socket for this one.. want me to check?

QuoteSpeedymoto now offers a double sided axle wrench for all Ducati’s with the small hub, single sided swing arms. The axle wrench tool has both a (hard to find) 41mm and a 46mm socket, fitting both sides of the rear axle.
Impact Grade, hardened tool steel for lifetime use.
Unique design keeps the tool from slipping off the axle nut when tightening.
A more effective and less expensive alternative to multiple sockets.
Fits: Monster S2R/S4R M1100, Hypermotard, Multistrada 1000/1100, 748-998, 848, MH900.

38mm, thought it might have been slightly bigger then that.

Not to worry mate, ill just pop up to the hardware and grab one.

beware of the sticker shock  :'(

remember buying one for the 916 and cost a bomb

since bought a big set of 3/4 sockets 2nd hand  for not much more than the cost of that one socket

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

why is everything you need to use a handful of times absurdly expensive!
looking around online and it might be a case of the socket costing more than the nut!
ahhhh well, what can i do :)

ozducati

the speedymoto one i have is about $99 i think..

Anyone know if the 41-46 works for the Monster 796?

mattyvas

I'd say yes but then there are not many to no Oz Mo's who have the new monster here in Sydney.
