How Is 45 to 7 against a bowl winning team (Miami  played d2) not a big win? Only points allowed were on a blocked fg.  Talk is cheap we'll see what happens when the canes have to deal with 100k screaming Buckeyes fans. Not worried about them at all.

Actually, talking is free. ;D

Don't forget, the U and FSU HATE each other and face off every year.  Miami is very used to playing in hostile environments.  OSU is very lucky the game is at home and not in sunny South Florida where the heat would favor the Canes and they turn games into track meets.

It was a great game.  VT's youth showed in that first quarter.  Once the D stiffened up I thought it was over but the last team and qb you want to give 2 minutes to is Boise/Moore.

Moore should probably win the heisman but won't.

The most important part of the Heisman process is to play in a market with lots of voters. You have to play in big games that are shown on prime time. Unfortunately it is no longer about the most talented player.

and Reggie Bush is about to give up his Heisman.
shame on him and USC.
he doesn't care b/c he's making $$$$$$.
does USC really care or are they just upset that they got caught.

Cal Berkeley walks over UC Davis 52-3.  We'll take every win we can get.  We're gonna need it to get to a bowl game.  ;D

Oh how I hate Ohio State.

+11ty billion

That's about the only thing people in this state live for most of the time. I've seen grown men cry and sob over losses. I've seen beer bottles thrown across bars. I've seen fights between fans because one thought the play should have been run one way and the other thought differently.

Beating marshal must be some fete. We'll see how they do against Miami.........

then back to two slam dunk games:

Ohio University and Eastern Michigan (I think my Mom might have gone to college there for a year)

and worst of all.............

THAT GOD DAMN OH-IO CHANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad people here can spell their four letter state.

(no offense to you Jay at all. You know I like you <in that kind of way tooo, or was that your girlfriend I like that way?>, but people here are make the beast with two backsing nuts)

I thought that was going to be a blowout after the first quarter...BSU's defense totally shut VT down.
Once they settled in, it almost went completely the other way...lots of BSU errors too.
VT quarterback is really good.

VT down, next big challenge OSU.
Then Alabama for the BCS championship  8)

Some fun facts for you Cane fanes

Ohio State is 2-1 vs. Miami

Since 2001 (Tressel) OSU is 36-8 vs Non-Conference opponents, 57-7 overall at home

Miami is 26-16 vs Big Ten opponents, but only 1-4 in road openers

Since 2007 under Shannon, Miami 4-6 against top 25 opponents but only 1-5 against top 25 opponents on the road (only win FSU last year)

Hate on Tressell all you want but your team has been back to the BCS once since the National Championship game.  We've won multiple BCS games since then and made it back to the Championship game twice.  Yeah, we lost but you've got to get there to be able to win it all.

I am a bit shocked that it isn't a night game and got the 330p spot.

Is there a bigger game going at night?

Yeah Penn State Alabama.

The OSU/Miami game will end up being way better though.  Bama is going to clobber Penn State.

Too many good games this weekend.  Notre Dame/Michigan- get em Big Blue  FSU/Oklahoma- another good one.

What are "fanes"? Is that what they call fans in OOOOO hio? They probably thought that it would be too cold from the cold blooded Canes fanes.

I think that last time OSU was so heavily favored to win over Miami was the one win. I would be concerned about being the favorite in this series. By all accounts OSU should win, but there's something to be said about having no expectations of winning. What will be the headlines if OSU loses? In Miami it won't be that big of a deal. It would be completely devastating up there.

the best bar night of the year!

Whenever OSU loses, the bars empty and people stay home for 3-4 days and sulk.

It is great.
