A few days ago, I was whining on FaceBook about my terrible, no good, really bad day that started with this:

The gist of the story: I was late for work, rushing out the gate, trying to get the ST2 on one side of the fence while keeping all the chickens & dogs on the other side of it. I whacked at the sidestand without taking a second to make sure the bike was settled on the stand, turned to close the gate and heard behind me the crunch of the bike hitting the pavement. Scratches on the right mirror, fairings & bar end, but the only real damage was the snapped off brake lever tip.

I do have a spare set of levers that I put on the bike, but they're a pretty gawdawful gold anodized color that just makes me think Vanilla Ice every time I look at them.

A couple of days ago, I come home to a mysterious package on the front porch from MotoWheels -- hmmm, it's a long time 'til my birthday or Christmas...  Open it up and find a brand new brake lever, with shipping docs that show Randimus Maximus as the purchaser and say at the bottom "Can you add a note that this is a 'Ducati Monster Forum Pay-It-Forward gift?"

I'm constantly amazed at the good people who frequent this place, and want to thank Randy (and Jess, who lent a hand in this one) for your amazing, unnecessary, much appreciated generosity.

So... chillin on the boat today... as you do... and a "Neon Trees" CD shows up in the mail. No note, no nothing, just a CD in a bubble wrap envelope.

Anyone here know anything about that?  ???

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

Mystery solved. Not a DMF'er, sorry for the false alarm. CD's pretty okay, too.  [thumbsup]
