Based on the Nano that IZ is having trouble with, the latest Nano provides all of the playback functionality that IZ is accustom to with a smaller size, increased capacity and touch screen interface and more.

well I have a mac, iphone and ipod and the problem, to me anyway, is that they are charging the same damn price for less................doesn't add up.  cool little toy but utterly worthless when you can get a shuffle for a third of the cost; granted no cool little screen but so what.

the lack of display on the shuffle makes it a non-starter for me... i like to be able to see/select what i'm playing.

i have a shuffle that i use for working out, running, etc....
and riding. dont need a screen for any of those.

I don't have the patience to load and clear out a shuffle. I have a touch that I use for the same things. It can be cumbersome at the gym, but if I'm listening to Slayer and would rather hear Husker Du or Waxwing, I don't need to go home and change the files.

so, did the Ipod die or what?

he just forgot to charge it..

 

Well, I cant speak for IZ, but the above helped me with mine that I thought was dead.

Mine seemed to have the same problem as his, and no I tried charging it. Complete restore did the trick.

Moral of the story...look to the DMF for help before going elsewhere. Thanks all

Well, I really don't know what the h*ll I did but I just plugged it into the computer and the Apple came up so apparently it's working.
