Personally I have to say 110mph or close enough to 180kph on open roads is nuts really.

But hey maybe I'm just alone in saying that.

Aside from that the operation is pretty sophisticated with a fully rigged camera bike, didn't see if it has lights
so as he can pull over those pesky bikers.
Lets hope our  don't go down the same route, though I did hear that there was an unmarked doing the rounds here in Sydney last summer.

I was pulled over by a bike copper on Parramatta road once - I thought it was 80, but turns out it was a 60 zone.

He was really nice - had a much better attitude than the car coppers I've come across.

I agree, >160 in an area where there is other traffic is public stupidity.

The name of the village is awfully silly though.

yeah but a SP-1 sounds different to a Ducati - must be a generalisation, sport v-twin must be Ducati!  


yeah have to admit Mattyvas the fastest I have gone is 230km/hr on a mates CBR600F4i (not in a metro area, up the freeway) - very stupid really - it is easy to get up to in to trouble on the Monster also, but I do keep a good eye on my speed 95% of the time, I am trying to be really really good!

I was chatting to one of the bike cops at the GP at the Island a couple years ago and mentioned that there seemed to be a lot less of the "solos" around!

He said that a fully kitted BMW Police bike was around the $64,000 to $65,000 mark, which was about the same as a fully fitted out Commodore pursuit car, so Force Command reckoned that the value just wasnt there for the 2 wheelers!

Hence the sort of rarity nowadays of the Plod on the Bike!!

I agree with Suzyj too as to the attitude of the solo cops, gthey know what we have to do to keep ourselves safe and have a for more realistic idea and approach to motorcycle road law enforcement, (if they are of the "Old School" of bike cops?) The newbies can be REAL clones of the Police Training System and only see things in black and white with absolutely no common sense whatsoever!
