Bye bye Rich Dick Rod!  [roll]

I went to an MSU bar to watch that one for the second half.  WTF?!

Almost looked like the UM receivers were batting balls away.

Fixed.

They never should have hired him in the first place.

Glad to see talented players like Ryan Mallet who left the program as soon as D.R. was hired doing so well elsewhere.

My prediction.......Ohio State will be #1 for 1 week !

+1
Their strength of schedule (or lack thereof) will do them in when the BCS rankings come out.

Godmakesthebeastwithtwobacksingdammit Miami...words cannot describe what I witnessed last night.

So who of the other undefeated teams will end up having a better strength of schedule?  It won't be Oregon, Boise, TCU or ASU.  I can only see maybe Nebraska having a stronger strength of schedule.

We'll just see how it plays out won't we.

So how many more wins do you Michigan fans think you'll have?  I say 3 at the very most probably 2.

If, and that is a big if, UM were somehow able to beat OSU, I'd be content with 1 more win this season.  [evil]

Triple J

Regarding strength of schedules...Ohio State (current #1) has played 1 ranked team this season. Boise (current #3) has played 2 ranked teams. Boise has 3 on their schedule total (with Nevada steadily climbing), while Ohio State also has 3 on their schedule total.

Now sure...1 of the 2 ranked teams BSU has played is no longer ranked (Virginia Tech). But OSU's ranked opponent (Miami) is no longer ranked either. [This is looking at the AP Top 25 poll...the polls vary a bit]

Oregon has also only played 1 ranked team (Stanford), and only has 3 on their schedule total as well.

So...why do people think BSU plays such a weak schedule?? I agree that overall OSU and Oregon probably have tougher schedules than BSU due to the respective conference games; however, BSU's isn't as weak as some think.

It doesn't matter though...Nevada is gonna whip them!  [evil]

Allowed 200+ rushing yards. I don't remember the last game when a UM/FSU was this lopsided.

I'm cheering for BCS chaos this year, ala 2007-style.

Although the SEC just sorta imploded - it's going to make for really dramatic games the rest of the season - especially in the west. Most of the SEC west division games have not been played yet. LSU v. Auburn; Alabama v. LSU; Alabama v. Auburn. Arkansas can jump right back into the swing of things if Alabama loses again too.

Florida's still hanging on; they can still win out their SEC games and go to the championship. Coaches are going to need to implement some pretty big changes for that to happen though :)

OSU 5th, Boise 1st, Ducks 2nd
Sunday should be interesting

I can't believe that OSU got dumped to 5th.

That is as of this week not next.  With a win against Wisconsin they'll move up and Boise/TCU have played their big games so they can only go down which they will.

OSU is #1 by wide margins in both of the human polls that count.  As long as they keep winning they'll be there in the end. Also, OSU is in the top 6 in points for and points against.  No other undefeated team can say that.  The computers will work themselves out when teams start to lose and we play the meat of our schedule.

At this point I would say that Oregon trips up somewhere (they are not used to the pressure of being a top 5 team (never been #1)) and Nebraska and OSU win out setting them up for the NC.

Don't sleep on a one loss Bama team jumping a unbeatened team towards the end.

If this isn't a reason to yell for a play-off, I don't know what is. Good teams should be allowed to lose at least 1 game before all their hopes being destroyed.

I totally agree.  I would love to see a playoff but it will never happen.

I think a plus one/two is all were ever going to get. Which would still be much better.

I would have loved to play Bama at the end of the year last year.

There is a way to have play-offs, by simply taking the major BCS bowls, and possibly adding a couple more. The issue here are the schools that get a ton of cash from the bowls/BCS. The bowls would still get their money, so they don't care.

Partially agree. BSU will drop, but then they play Nevada which is currently top 20, and will likely be top 15 by that game if they are still stomping people. That could have them jump back up if they handily beat them...I think Nevada has a good shot at winning though. They run the pistol offense better than anyone...including 'Bama.

You just better hope Ohio State can handle Wisconsin.  ;)

+2 for a playoff...likely never happen though.
