That is actually looking mighty sexy.  Much more compact than these other one-offs.  Interested to see how they handle the radiator cowls (if there is one) and the front headlight.

207 kgs. Abs, traction control and adjustable riding modes. This things going to be expensive. Oh! Its got the testastretta engine as well.

Raux

bet it's the 11 deg motor if it's using the variable riding mode option

Slide Panda

It's got the Testastretta 11° engine No need to bet/beg. It says it one the site) - which is the same as in the new Multi. If it's set up the same way, it won't have as much power as the 1198.. you'll just have to cry over having 150 bhp as opposed to the 170 the 1198 is rated to.

With the traction control, ABS and engine modes - seems like they are using a lot of the same tech seen in the multi 1200. From that link, you might see different versions like the multi. Ie the pricey and really pricey models.

A 450(+) pound 150 bph cruiser... the numbers are good. But it's gotta deal with the looks factor. The look might be more polarizing than the big 'zuki Boulevards with that cowl thing around the headlight.

I've been mixed on the look in all the spy photos... but you can't ever really tell until you see it in person. So... we'll see.

But, not on my shopping list... Daddy wants an MTS1200
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

gotta agree.
after seeing the MTS 1200 up close in Koln this weekend...WANT

and don't want a powercruiser

If you click the link, you'll see (as mentioned above) that the Diavel will be powered by the 11-degree Testastretta.

That means, 150 hp, and lower cost of ownership thanks to long valve service intervals. 15,000mi between services.

Spidey

Maybe I'm just aging and getting tired, but I just can't get my rage on about it.  I don't *particularly* like it's looks, but don't really care that much.  (I was much more up in arms when the new monster generation came out).  And, as with all stock motorcycles, if you add some mods you could make it look pretty pregnant dogin'.  It won't ever be a sportbike or even a naked like the monster, but it could be cool.

And looks aside, cuz it's a motorcycle (and a Ducati), I'd ride the fack out of it if I could.  It'd be fun.   [thumbsup]

There is a silver M109R at the Dallas shop now. Come see if you think they'll be remotely alike. :)

... Reaction here seems terribly familiar to everything said about the new monster and the streetfighter. Now we all like them.

the naysayers like me just stopped beating the dead horse.  now all we hear are the ones who like it or warmed up to it... the rest of us bite our tongues.

I think the Diavel will sell. I can't count how many times an old timer just had to chat me up and ask about the monster's grin factor... then sheepishly recede to the compromise they found; fjr, streetglide, roadglide, goldwing etc... but they loved the Monster and now they can buy one that meets their current standards.

I also think it's calculated-- but perhaps the monster was just as calculated back in "93 and I was too dumb to recognize it.  As they say a fool and his money are soon departing at 11tyb/s2

Interesting.....don't know what I think just yet...I'm digging the tail lights though.

I may hold final judgement until I get to see it in person. I reserve the right to retract negative comments I made about it if (IF) it's much better in person that we've seen in pics so far.
However, that being said, I bet the boys over at OCC are going to LOVE this!!!  [cheeky]
