Yes I live in Iowa and yes I am an Iowa fan for every game they play except vs Michigan. That being said, they lost a hard road game that they still scrapped hard for (Arizona). I can see them being a strong spoiler in the Big 10 this year and potentially being in the mix for the Big 10 trophy.
They did it to Penn State (and Wisconsin) in 2008 when they were a "contender". The 3 "tough" games they have left this season are on their own turf (Wisconsin, Michigan State and Ohio State all come to Kinnick) which is notoriously rough on opposing teams.
Anyway, just saying with Iowa's defense and implaccable offense, it is really hard to count them out for the Rose Bowl.

On a side note, come on Dick Rod...your boys still ain't bowl eligible and if they end the season that way, you may be joining Brewster in the "Former Big 10 coach" category. Here's hoping anyway.

Unfortunately, Nevada lost as well...it was a tough weekend for undefeated teams. Hawaii...WTF?

Cal most definitely sucks.

I can see the championship game being given to two 1-loss teams.
BSU gets the Fiesta or Poinsetta Bowl.

I'll eat my crow.  Nothing hurts worse than your team losing.  Oh wait driving 9 hours to get there and seeing the other team storm the field is much much worse.

I was seriously impressed with Madison.  What a beautiful and very cool place. 

OSU's d didn't show up and special teams isn't even a thought I guess.  Dropped balls and horrible play calling by Tressell. 

Well at least I don't have to keep taking up for them this season.  My only hope is that Iowa beats Wisky and MSU and we win out for a chance at the Rose Bowl.


Boise will not be left out ahead of 2 one loss teams but Nevada losing really hurts them.

I'm all for Auburn getting a shot since they got robbed a few years ago.

This will be another crazy BCS year.

they are a different team this season.  Much better than the previous team that lost to BSU.  I think Oregon would beat BSU this season for sure.  In fact, I would love to see them both in the BCS championship and watch the ducks destroy them.

Go Cal Bears!  It was great seeing Cal stomp on AZ St. 50-17.  It cool and drizzling in Berkeley today, but it sure was fun.  Next Saturday is Oregon St. who always gives us problems.

And for once, our QB Riley didn't suck on the deeper (still only ~15 yds) passes.
