Anyone catch this new series on AMC channel? Looks like it could be a good series if they keep on like the first episode. Funny though, started just like "28 days later".

Right off the bat I was annoyed.

When the main char told the rookie cop to make sure there was a round in the chamber and the safety off, the rookie cop chamberd a round from the clearly emtpy magazine and then swept his thumb where there WOULD be a manual safety, except his gun didnt have one (glock). They even added the sound effects of a "safety click"

Its little things like that that ruin a movie or TV show sometimes.

Then the car flipping....come the hell on. It went over a spike strip, slid sideways and then BOOM went into a big roll. For no reason. except the pneumatic actuator under the car. Its just silly.

I'll stick with it into next week and see how it goes.

Since none of that was germane tot he actual plot, I didn't care. Though, I must admit a sadness at seeing a 1970 GTO Judge used for a stunt that a 1989 Ford Taurus would have been just as good for.

Overall, I thought the pilot was good and look forward to the rest of the series.

I'm really excited about the series. I had to get up at 3:30 am on monday, but I still stayed up to watch it.  [thumbsup]

I've read several of the comics....and if the tv series stays the line, it should be pretty good

I agree, some little "piss me offs", but what do you expect from AMC.

After Madmen I was expecting a little more from them.

And yes the gun seen was ridiculous................

Lately TV shows have been sad and disappointing.

I also will stick with it and see how it goes next week.

I am pumped about this show. It's fun to watch and zombies are the shit.

As for the inaccuracies in the weapons actuation.... who cares, it's a show.

28 days later.... VERY similar the whole coma/wake up no idea wtf is going on thing was a total rip. Still cool nonetheless.
Is this thing on?

Excellent gore in the grand tradition of Sam Peckinpah

annoying at the detail level, safety click on the Glock was bad

also character development implausibility issues...responses to circumstances or situations were lacking authenticity

and after 10 minutes I was convinced the main character was going to wear his make the beast with two backsing backless hospital gown and go barefoot for the entire make the beast with two backsing series

it gets one more play
This is an insult to the Pez community

^ I know what you're talking about. When he stumbles into the military command center outside of the hospital first thing I said was GRAB THE HELICOPTER. And then, you know, that's not realistically what I would do....but I DID expect him to emerge with some weapons and a change of clothes.

Other thing that bothered me on a different level was the apparent pack leader at the little camp site making out with his wife. Not sure where that comes from but im sure it will play a pretty serious role later. Two leaders conflict.

Agreed... partner cop makes off with the main characters wife and kid, forgets about husband in hospital.

I'm seeing a battle between the two later on.

wife: "Oh my God, the dead are walking the streets eating the flesh of the remaining live people!  Holy shit!  We have to get the make the beast with two backs out of here!  Where is my husband?!  Could he be where we left him in the hospital?!  Oh my God we're all gonna die?!  Where could my husband be?!!!!"

partner: "Wanna make the beast with two backs?"

wife: "Okay."

Yes there are a few holes that need filling in the character development.

But who cares they got zombies who eat horses.

I know what that horse was thinking when they got into the city.

Streets filled with trash, burned out cars and flesh-eating zombies.  That's the best Atlanta has ever looked.
