your smug wink is irrelevant. Still doesn't change the fact that they went out of their way to add a *click* when there was nothing to be clicked.

To me, what is irrelevant is the fact that the show is about dead people walking around trying to eat live people and a safety in the wrong place is what you're worried about. It's a make believe show.

I actually thought it was really good.  I liked how they made some scenes look like comic cells (i.e. when he shoots the other deputy through the fence).

Can't wait to see where this goes.  Going to be fun when he finds his wife and kid and has to kill his old partner.

What would you expect the wife to do?  She's going to go with the person who gives her and her son the best chance of survival and that was the partner. Of course she's going to get with the guy if he wants to. What choice does she have? Exactly what would happen in a setting like that. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself and son alive.

In this kind of setting the strong will be bullies while the weak will submit.

The comic it's based on got pretty good, so I am anxious to see where they go with the series.

New Episode on now... Lets see how it goes.

OH MAN

This episode is GORY.
Is this thing on?

1. If the flowers were long dead when he woke up, what was being fed into his veins from his IV bags?  Air?
2. If he could get out of the hospital so easily, why couldn't zombies just as easily get to him?
3. How did the horse survive so long with dead owners?  Fenced up. With lots of horse-eating zombies around.
4. This show, uh, borrowed the premise of an already successful zombie movie.  Hard.

I mention these things, not because I relish being the guy that points out "Oh, that's not real" or "that's CG/green screened/a tit double"

I mention this because, despite these things I noticed without really trying, I can't wait to watch episode two.

1. No explanation for this... How long does an IV bag last on a very slow drip?
2. There was a bed blocking the door to his room. They seek the living, so I suppose they left the area seeking the living?
3. Was pretty far into the country, could have had access to open food, grazing area, water..
4. Agreed, serious stolen material here. 28 days later at the forefront.

Episode 2 was on tonight... It was pretty good.

1000cc bag set at mechanically perfect TKO will last 27.7 hrs

I wouldn't so much say stolen, as adheres strongly to the zombie apocalypse movie archetype.

Too bad. It could have been a really cool show. [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown]

I'm still baffled by the nay sayers here

Glock with a thumb safety

unrealistic

Walking without a pulse

plausible

I'm confused

^^^ +1

I totally agree- How many ways can you do a zombie movie.   Also, the Walking Dead was first published in 2003 same year as 28 Days Later.  Who's to say one wasn't written before the other?

In movies/tv some things are just going to be for effect (ie gun safety).  How many people out there really know/care/think about where a safety is on a gun they couldn't pick out of a lineup?

Why hate/nitpick when you can just enjoy a good zombie story with what I think is some of the best costumes/make up i've seen in any zombie movie?

Episode two was a win for me  [thumbsup] Loooved the generous use of squishy noises.

Oh yeah.  And this is a flippin' TV show.  I was really impressed by the wandering torso.  I kept looking for things that were off or fake about it, found none, gave up.  Oh well, I guess we all suspend disbelief with our own hoist.  The worst thing I can say about the show so far is that I don't get this channel in HD...
