a buddy of mine whom I was constantly going to the track with was always fidgeting with his TZ250 and he was 5-10/11 and weighing in at 175/180-ish and he had a block made to raise the seat height on the tailpiece about an inch in order to put him in his "sweet spot" and then he stopped fidgeting with the framework and just stuck to rejetting and riding it....it was crazy how fast he was about pulling out the carbs and switching jets between sessions and still have time to hydrate and pee and snack...LOL
Back in the days of the aircooled Yammis we'd swap top ends between races so the bike could be either a 250 or 350.

They are pretty easy to work on.

they're kinda designed with that specifically in mind, though.

WELL...to a degree I can understand that...it is just the timeframe of it all to get it all done in 30 mins and be back out on track by himself without any help from anyone...

Reminds me of my RD350 and RD400 days with Toomey expansion chambers and K&N pod filters. Can you say plug chop? I knew you could. [cheeky] How often is that done these days? Probably just stumped half the board. [laugh] We need an old fart/2010 bike dictionary! ;D
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

i've done my share, but no need to do 'em anymore since you can check the fueling w/ a sensor.

Progress. Takes all the fun out of it.  ;) I may go out and do a "chop" today just for old times sake. [laugh] Hmmm, where's that plug socket? One part of "progress" I don't like is how fast gas turns to shit in a carb float bowl these days! Even using Sta-Bil in my gas can my Honda mower succumbed to the nasty evaporating effects. A Honda mower for Christ sake!!! [bang] Gas sucks and I saw that they are talking about doubling the ethanol. Ugh!! OK... end of gas rant and threadjack. Back to trackday weapons and plug chops. [cheeky]
