I filled up at $4.19 for 87 today in Indiana... my other car takes premium at almost $4.49 - luckily it is fun to drive and gets 30mpg or it would get the boot!

Premium is 5.09 here...well, by my place anyway.  I don't really use 89 or 87 unless I'm really strapped for cash and I'm filling my truck.  Unfortunately, $50 will only get me a half tank in my truck, it really makes me unenthusiastic about driving.

Gas is now $6.20 a gallon here in Thailand its gone 25% in the last 4 weeks .

but yesterday in parts of England Gas was $15 a gallon and its regularly $12 a gallon almost every where in the rest of UK

so you Yanks are lucky.

$4.06 last night for 93 octane in Indianapolis.

The M900 is actually averaging between 45 and 50 mpg, since I haven't been wringing it out much.

By comparison, my '00 Malibu with the 3.1L V-6 gets 30mpg (actually considered efficient, in most circles), and my '00 Infiniti with a 3.3L V6 is averaging 19mpg.  We spent about $110 filling up the sedan and family truckster this weekend.

So, yeah, I'll be riding in to work a lot...

4.59 in socal outside of ventura.

have a monster 620 with termi/pc3 remapping for better fuel air, normally get around 45 city and on an all highway riding around 47 mpg.  never got above 50mpg, then again never rode at 55mph for that long to use 1 or 2 gallons then fill up.

.....and now that my country (UK) and your country (USA) want to bomb the shit out of Iran, it´s gonna get even better.

I´m using the bicycle more and more each day. One day it may be THE only way into work and back.  >:(

When I started this whole thread, gas was 4.09 and I was shocked. Now 4.09 sounds "good." 4.53 is the cheapest I've seen in San Jose today. Diesel came back DOWN to 4.97.

I'm with NUTTS. I ride my bicycle to work most days. I guess that is the silver lining. It's good for me.

I'm curious what the minimum wages are where gas is $12-15/gal. It would be awesome if we had decent public transportation, but that's not likely to happen.
Is it June yet?

I wish I could get away with riding my push bike into work but it just isn't practical.  I live about 17 miles (each way) from work which isn't really much of a problem, but I usually get to the office no later than six in the morning which would make my departure time simply ridiculous!  Plus, the final two miles of my ride home would be climbing a seriously steep hill!

lol  Very true.  The big problem with that is that I couldn't afford to replace all the calories that I burned off everyday.

In the 22 days I have my s2r1k, it seemed the mileage was AWFUL!  Like in the high 20s!!!  My scion can almost get me that.

Something is wrong with your bike if you only got 20 something mpg.  I have the DP ECU and ride it hard and get over 40 mpg.

I had to borrow my brothers Land Rover Discovery (lifted, roof rack, winch.. ect) for a month while my bike was being repaired after my bike got stolen... I can say at $4.25 or so per gallon 7 mpg vs 35 mpg on my monster is a really big difference  [bang]

I'm getting 55-57 mpg on my 03 620. It's completely stock. I'm commuting about 60 miles a day back and forth to work, so I have to fill up every 2 days...which is somewhat annoying  :P I liked filling up once a week in my VW, but it only gets about 27-29 mpg....so the monster it is...

the 35-45 mph cross winds out here in west texas are kicking my ass on some days though  >:(

I'm kinda suprised to see how low some of your mileage is on the monsters. I don't ease mine around....I ride it pretty good, and I'm still seeing great fuel economy.

and for the record...if I could possibly live closer to work, I would, but there are exactly 2 houses within 25 miles of where my office is I think, and they are both on site (and occupied)  [laugh]
