i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Gee, who needs the BOM when you've got the DOMs !!! Hope the weather holds up well for you all (or your predictions were accurate) and that you have an awesome ride!  [thumbsup]

the splitters went home the way they came

half of us continued on the planned route ,  a fantastic ride back and got to see lake lyle overflowing the spillway , from the local saying that its been 12 years since its flooded over and it rose 3.2M overnight  :o

Yep.
Great day out heaps of  [leo] up Bells, the count was 4 that we saw.
No rain to speak of just some water run off across some parts of the road here and there.

Aside from the splinter at Oberon it was a great ride, hope those who followed out to Tarana got home okay.
Oh and wee little slip going into one of the last corners into Jenolan Caves. Woops...

mattyvas

The planned route was always Duck-thingymy road.
Tarana was only a lunch option that didn't get used.
Glad you all got home fine.

Yep,that was a great ride, countryside was beautifull. So many Police around, did anyone get pinged ? To continue the country theme as long as possible I turned right at Richmond onto Castlereagh rd thru Penrith, then Mulgoa rd to Wallacia then Greendale rd (rougher than Tarana roads) then Bringelly rd and home. Better than the M7. cheers to all  [clap] who got the day happening.

Just arrived back home ... which made it a 12 hour day more for us.

We went through about 10mins of misty rain first thing (no-one else is this far north though) and then a couple of sprinkles at Bell on the way home. Hope everyone enjoyed the day.

Thanks to all those who attended and especially those that kept us all organised (I though we were always going back along Duck-thingymy road too - five fuel stops in a day is enough for me).

Luckily a certain someone was lucky enough to prevent two near drops at the Oberon servo ... that would have been embarrassing ... on a borrowed bike no less.

PS. Has anyone heard from Mick?

Yep Nick spoke to him at our last fuel stop, his son was coming to help.
He was sitting on the side of the road on his "pat-malone"

To inform you all, no crash or mechanical problem. Just a little technical issue with the RTA and the booze bus three of us had the pleasure of visiting.

Got home around 630 and had clocked up 600ks. Man thats hard work on a superbike!

Thankfully the splinter group had someone who knew the turn off to Duck whatever rd   [popcorn]

Man I love that road! Did anyone cop a surprise when they hit the railroad tracks?

Copped some rain around Katoomba and had a fair amount of fog but all was good.

Had a great day out. Highlight of the year! [thumbsup]
