Very nice bike and you have to love the .3KM, Pinheads inc. (Peninsula Imports) are crooks, they've lost more than a few contract over the years and at various points they keep losing the mechanics.  Bought my original '05 620dark from them, and let them service it once ... never again.  Bought the new S2R 800 from GP, unless you are waving cash Gerry isn't always interested it seem.  I have to admit I like the service guys at Rev Cycle, then again they have done minor checks for free, will take my bike for the day to do service during the week (hell I'm at work anyway) and it is done by the time I'm ready to go home.  Though I have to admit I'm likeing your deal a lot better so where is this importer located?

Cheers and happy riding  [beer]

Yup, REV seemed like the best guys to dela with both for a purchase and service

The importer is Motoretta.  talk to George.  You'll probably hear him before you see him lol.  great guy to deal with  [thumbsup].  They share the warehouse with The Piaggio group.
Met one of Executives of the Piaggio group as well.
They are all really great to deal with

Honestly i cannot say enough good things about these guys

If I were to buy a new bike tahday..!! I'd buy a Superduke R. That bike.... is Satan's own  [evil]

I've had an 04 tuono for years, absolutely great bike, it's my long distance touring bike and does everything reasonably well from mountain riding to distance to daily rider.

Aprilia's are probably one of the most underrated bikes in the world. I bought a  aprilia shiver recently but had to sell as the seat shape didn't agree with an old injury, but an exc. and very capable bike as well.

Love the bike, even the rims, it fits the persona  [thumbsup]
Is the service schedule similar to ducatis?  Ie inspections, oil changes etc.

great, good to know.
The shiver is a really nice looking bike, really comfy too.  Friend and i hung around the dealer for a couple hours while they prepped the bike, so we sat on everything a few times lol

The blue rims are kinda growing on  me as well  8)
maitnence wise, similar, but no belts to change, and valves rarley need adjusted.  The interval is the same 7500miles or 10,000km.  But in his experince he has opned them up for nothing as everything is still perfect.

GLantern

That is a gorgeous bike i see why you went with it over the Duc. Congrats!!

Can't say I blame you, that is an amazing looking machine.  [beer]

Nice bike!

It look like it would be time-consuming to service.  The motor is well hidden.

Nice wheels ZC:  At least you stayed Italian.

Kind of a shame we have like 5 Ducati dealers in all of Ontario.

I have been treated right by both by Carl at GP and also Mike Inglis at Inglis.  It was a pleasure to buy and they made things easy from the get go.  Sorry to hear you got the run around at Pennisula.  I have visited but no purchases on anything.

Happy riding.

i never did go to Inglis, they where too far.  have not heard anything abotu them, and did not even know they where a dealer until Ducati replied back to me the other day.  Typical big coperation repsonse.  You can buy the tricolore at the following delaerships instead   :P  ahhh well

There was no doubt about staying with an Italian bike  [evil]

i opned up a bit (still only to 8000rpm) on the highway late last night, and man o man what a beast  [clap]
