Quote from: Slideshow on December 17, 2010, 07:14:07 PMI love my 950 Adventure S, but I really, really wish they'd release a 690 Adventure.
Yeah, KTM doesnt ship a 690 Adventure... instead.... you build your own  [evil]..... This is where I'd hope to take any 690 of mine...

On the other hand (damn that other hand) there's always the far less spendy and doubtless more dependable Jap option...

I don't think the yami is going to be unexciting.  It's just too bad it's 60 something pounds heavier than the KTM... :(

When I finally buy a touring/ADV bike I'm looking for reliability.  Of course, I've never had an issue with my 525exc and I beat the crap out of it!

I keep popping back and forth between the MTS1200, the GS BM, and the ADV.  can't figure out which one would be better for me!

Monsterlover

Well, the adv would have chain/gear driven cams

The lc8 engines don't need much. I pounded mine for 9000 miles before I even looked at the valves. They were all ok :D

True, the Tenere is a bit on the porky side for what it is..... Still like it though.... But if I'm honest I desire the KTM more....

Its this that keeps me coming back to the Yamaha......

They used to make a 640 Adventure.  Find one of those?

this bike holds the place of "i will sell my other bikes if i find the right one."

The operator of my Duke is more stoopider too.
