it's xm193.  i wouldn't have any expectation it is different from the federal.  all made under DoD contract and are overruns or 2nds..

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Natchez Shooters Supplies has on occasion in the recent past had Lake City XM193 and American Eagle (Fed) .223 on good sales. They sell it by the individual box up to 1000 rnd bulk boxes. I get email notices from them all the time. Last XM193 sales notice I got was late November and it was $299 for a 1000 rnd bulk box. I buy and shoot both out of ARs and bolt guns. Never noticed any difference except the AE .223 is cheaper. [thumbsup]

I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

"Kick" is relative.  I fired an Anzio Ironworks 50BMG with a proprietary muzzle device and it didn't feel worse than a 12ga.  That's a bolt gun.

Shot a Smith .500 yesterday.  Damn that thing is nasty.  The grips aren't great unless you have gloves.  The slightest bit of sweaty palm and that thing'll come back hard.

Old twin and I were talking about optic mounts in the pic thread, and I mentioned that I was partial to LaRue's gear.  Here is a good example of why.
