Ha!  It's worse than that; I was on the lead sled.

But I'm not so sure that wasn't an all together bad thing because if I'd been on the SBK I would have been several more inches forward and would probably have been hit in the head; the 150 lbs beast was in a full gallop four feet off the ground - full-extension - nothing but ribs, deer butt, ridiculous white bobtail, and legs flailing all over the place, and all conveniently right at eye level!

By the time I realized this was a second deer, I didn't even have time to flinch.  Or poop my pants.

But if there's a teachable moment here it's to always have a vineson jerky recipe handy.  That, and maybe a Tandy Deer Skin Moccasin Kit.

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Wow glad u live to tell.
Police bikers are told to drive through the deer and on several occasions I've talked to people say they have done just that and stayed upright.
Lisa was probably giving up a little weight advantage to a police motor, but when you consider the stabilizing factors of gyroscopic wheel rotation and rubber tires, in either case a 150-lbs. airborne deer wouldn't have a hoof to stand on, so to speak.

Even though you missed, Lisa, it took a lot of nerve not to react on the controls, considering the surprise factor. That's what getting riding time in on a regular basis will do for you! [thumbsup] [clap] [moto]

I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

this guy really blows at riding as far as body positioning goes:

muskrat

that rear tire is HUGE.  ride one with something like a 300, which this seems close, and you'll see you can't lean in with the bike.  I tried it once and immediately made a u-turn and back to the store

The story says the front is a 200 and the rear is a 300 and it handles like a sportbike.  I believe that.  [bacon]

muskrat

story being operative word in that article.  You lean over a tire that wide and down you go.  Seen it happen and it was a hard face plant.

Riding that crossed up is sure to cause problems

Saw The Ben/ELBOWZ again today driving down Lovers Lane next to us. He was making a run to Central Market. Man he has tinted the windows so dark you can't even see inside anymore. I'm sure it wouldn't pass inspection. Didn't think he would have that big of a problem being recognized in BigD. Hell, he probably could walk into every bike shop in town and more than half the people wouldn't even know it was him. [popcorn]

Maybe it's because he reads our board.  [cheeky]
