A few have spoken about it, some have said they can/will go along.

I am planning a little road trip, Bells Line, Rylestone, Bylong Valley Way, Denman, Singleton, Gloucester, Walcha, Mt Seaview (Oxley Hwy) through to Port Macquarie, then back again.
Dates 20th, 21st, 22nd. You'll be covering about 700 odd klms a day.

I'll map it shortly so you can see the route.
So if you wanna come along, pipe up so accommodation can be arranged.

Cheers

I'm not familiar with any of those roads, so I'm out (very far out).

Are you serious about covering 700 km a day? They would have to be very high speed roads [moto]

BTW isn't your whole continent sinking or something ???

Come on where's your spirit you can make it!
Some are sinking and some are having 40C days!
700 a day is not all that much, id say it would be average, it could be less. I'll see when i map it.
You can make it I'm sure. But i guess if you rode 700ks you'd be in Italy or France.  [cheeky]

Highways - no problem, but last summer in the Alps I averaged 50 km/h (I'm not slow and I took very short breaks).
My nearest long route, we call it "The Road", is open deserted backroads. Average there is 65 km/h.

I'm just saying this because there are so many similar stories about bikers not able to bring theoretical distance into reality. Not getting to where you want to be is a mood spoiler, that's all.

That being said, if ALL participants are hard core riders it's do-able. Beer tastes better after long days.

Bloody hel I'd love to so much but I don't get back from Thailand until the 23rd! If it was the following week I would be in for sure!

Whoa, sounds awesome. That would be about 13 tanks for you Matty?

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

This month.

This is the map I've put together, it's not quite 700 a day. I was remembering the earlier run up there which was about 680 each day.
The map is here we could overnight in Gloucester day 1, then head along to Port Macquarie on day 2 and maybe back to Mt Seaview/Jaspers Retreat, day 3 back to Sydney via Putty.

midweek , no chance atm , maybe later in the year when work is quiet

Thats gonna be a great trip, I would love to go, but I just commited to go in the opposite direction that weekend. Well if anyone wants to go in Feb ? I could make it. Looking at your map that is the way i went, there is only one way thru Bylong Valley and its 90% river flats. I mean its a beautifull ride etc etc but its no RNP or Old Rd. I really liked the bit thru East Gresford an Dungog on the first day. when you see the signs "caution falling rocks, do not stop" they are not kidding, there were large boulders sprinkled across the road when I went thru.

Is the date cut and dried mate...?
"ËX"Cakeman slash Andrew wanted to make the ride and comes back from Thaliand that weekend i think. If it was the following one that would give him a week to get rid of any diseases etc. Just a thought, thats all......
