Well it looks like i will have to update my signature to include.

If you are being chased buy the cops on Harleys try not to go around the red traffic cones. They are trained for that [laugh] [laugh]

Gentlemen, I'm here in the US, in the commonwealth of Virginia, and I can surely tell you that most of the police here ride Harleys.  A few states keep other models, such as in California or Colorado, the police have BMWs, but Harley makes a "police model" which is the cat's ass for the typical commander.  Bear in mind that police here do not wear any sort of protective gear beyond a helmet, gloves and boots unless you consider a short sleeve polyester shirt as gear.

The reality is that most do not spend much time riding at all.  They proceed to their favorite speed trap and park it for the day.  I've seen 10 year old police harleys with barely 5000 miles on them.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I reckon a Diavel would be a more sexy choice of Police Bike.  People would simply stop just to see it rather than a boring old mobile dam pump... [laugh]
