To address the first part of your post:
Just hired a new "Blank Slate".  First day was Monday, 5 minutes late, yesterday 15 minutes late, today on time but left at 1:30 because he wasnt feeling well.....the search continues....

Second part:  I have friends that will not even consider dating American women because they are so spoiled in these parts.  Everybody has attitude.

I feel like crap.

Have for the last few days.

Wicked head cold/sinus crap.  Not letting me sleep.

Ick.

If I don't come back I'm holed up in a hotel or hospital somewhere.

I started to feel like crap this past Monday.....chills, headache and running nose....I drank 1/2 an iced tea glass of Apple cider vinegar on Tuesday.....Wednesday I felt 85% better.  Usually I'd be laid up by now.
Today, all symptoms are gone.

go find the thing that you would do for free and then find a way to pay the bills later

I have no idea what I would do for free. I would hang out with my puppies and wife all day if a could. I really don't care about my credit report. Its only recently been half way decent. I've been broke most of my life, living pay check to pay check. Doing that doesn't bother me. I know what its like to go to bed hungry as a kid. And sacrifices like that don't bother me much. But I want to keep the house we have because my wife busted her ass to get it in the first place. And I want her to have the things she wants. She doesn't want jewelry and showy cars. She wants rescue puppies and chickens and a home cooked meal. And I want those things too. I just wish I could provide that without feeling like I am doing something useless and dishonest. But she is my first priority. Always.

Seems like its time to set some new priorities. Simplify a bit. Start thinking of what my next thing is going to be (because if I do this for another 20 years I'm gonna end up being one miserable son of a pregnant dog to be around). I think getting rid of the toys might be a good start. Finding something worthwhile to do with my time might be good as well. I like food. I think its a make the beast with two backsing travesty that people go hungry in this world when there is actually enough food to go around just so some of us can get it cheap. Perhaps spending some time at the local food bank is in order.
