I'm interested in these pants -- the Drake Airs seem a bit serious for my commute.

Can someone give some sizing insight? I have a 31 inch waist and the 50 Drake Air is a little large, thinking 48 Yamato.

Is the material heavy or light? Would the pants "pass" at the office?

I have a pair; very light weight fabric, armor is very light as well. Definitely pass at the office for good looking pants. Good for VERY light commuting. The vents are moderate in letting air in on a hot day. I got size 50's and have a 34 " waist and they fit fine, but were on the long side even for wearing on the bike.
