Where was the pic taken? Maybe he had another Benz before the Porsche in Dallas. It was a good looking car for sure. So was the Porsche.

Yeah, he's sitting pretty. Good for him! He earned it and deserves it! The smartest part is he's still single!! [clap] [beer] ;D

Had a buddy that worked at AMS here in town run into him a couple of years ago at Best Buy. He struck up a conversation with him and said he was a really nice, friendly guy. I'm sure he doesn't get recognized much here in town. The percentage of folks that know who he is in this town is a micro-%. He probably likes it that way.

Saw him again today as I was driving away from my house heading toward the highway. I have seen him driving many times last year in my neighborhood and just recently during the off season. I know he lives here in Dallas and you couldn't miss his blacked out turbo Porsche Cayenne with the ELBOWZ license plate.

i know he's got a place at the w in victory park (he's also a partner in the sushi restaurant there) and it wouldn't surprise me if he had at least one more place in the area.

He does. Bought a big ass house near White Rock Lake in Dallas in November 2009. It was a tear down and rebuild, it was 2 years old when he got it. It's right down the street from my brother in law. Bet he got it so he could be near the lake to ride his bicycle, since he's really into that these days. There's a 10 mile training loop around the lake that is a HUGE draw for recreational cyclists as well as racers. Been around it a few hundred times myself. [thumbsup]

Looks like a lineup that could have some real fun in Stateside & mid-level pro racing!   [thumbsup]

I think Ben Spies is stalking me. [laugh]

Saw him again today as I was driving away from my house heading toward the highway. I have seen him driving many times last year in my neighborhood and just recently during the off season. I know he lives here in Dallas and you couldn't miss his blacked out turbo Porsche Cayenne with the ELBOWZ license plate.

Well he must have cashed that factory Yamaha payroll check because he finally dumped that piece of shit Cayenne [laugh] and upgraded to a Benz sedan. It still has the ELBOWZ plate. It was graphite gray but had no badging on the back to ID it. It looked like an AMG sedan with black aftermarket wheels and low profile tires. Damn good looking car!

He was headed for the nearby Central Market grocery store. My wife and I have seen him several times headed there. He obviously likes their food. ;D I pulled up next to him at the light. He was in the turn lane for the store and when it turned green I rolled up and could clearly see him driving. I hung out my window, honked, waved and gave him the thumbs up. He honked, waved back and shot me a peace sign. I'm sure he could see all the Ducati, Ohlins, etc. stickers on my back window as I drove away.

One of these days I hope I'm lucky enough to see him in the parking lot, meet him and shake his hand. And tell him how glad I am he ditched that embarrassing POS Porsche!! [laugh] [laugh] Can't wait for the start of the new season!!! [thumbsup] [moto] [popcorn]

Right now gm2 is trying to figure out how to move to Dallas.  ;D

The traffic has to be better than LA! [laugh] But the roads suck. At least most of them do. [moto]

Neat stuff to read. I was a Cat 1 in the late 70s and early 80s in TX and raced the 78, 79 and 80 road Nats. It's great to read the DMF bike thread and to see The Ben take cycling so seriuosly. Great sport and exercise. [thumbsup] Wish I could do more of it but physical issues get in the way. I miss it terribly. :P But I have fond memories of rides and races that will last me a lifetime.
